Disability Access Policy

< Back to policies & procedures

Reasonable Adjustments

Reasonable adjustments for patients are small changes or adaptations made by healthcare providers to remove barriers, ensuring disabled people or those with long-term conditions can access care as easily as everyone else.

Reasonable adjustments are a legal requirement to make sure health services are accessible to all.

What is the Reasonable Adjustment Digital Flag?

The Reasonable Adjustment Digital Flag is a national, visible marker on a person’s record, which indicates any reasonable adjustment needed by a person with a disability whenever and wherever they are see or treated by any publicly-funded health and social care service.

If you have any additional needs please let our staff know so that we can help you, and also ensure you get the same support in the future.
