Friends of Marden Medical Centre
We are very grateful for the support provided by the Friends of Marden Medical Centre, a registered charity (No. 1023162) that manages donations and bequests to the practice.
Active for over 30 years, the charity has funded a wide range of equipment, improvements, and innovations that directly benefit patients, including specialist items not normally available in general practice. It has also supported the purchase of essential equipment needed to meet changing standards and deliver safe, effective care.
A full list of purchases is available from the Practice Manager on request. A surgery representative usually proposes purchases, which are voted on by charity officers at the AGM. The charity meets annually to elect it’s Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer.
All patients are welcome to attend the AGM. Trustees are volunteers registered with the Charity Commission. If you are interested in becoming a trustee, please contact Valerie Hesketh via the surgery.
Donations can be made directly to the charity: Sort Code 60-60-08, Account Number 48054593. Please use the patient’s name as the payment reference.
